I put two boats in today and broke two or three bands of ice but was able to make it out to my place. She is open. All the ice should be gone by the end of the weekend. Beauty.

My husband Carman and a few dedicated friends ran a Pickerel Watch every spring for years at the dock area of Pointe au Baril. For the last four years or so our son-in-law Rob Morel has been keeping it going.
It isn't easy scheduling people for all night to stand by while the fish spawn and to discourage any spearing. It is really difficult in the spring as the local men are just getting back to work after a long winter and obviously need their sleep.
When you catch a pickerel this summer think of the people who stayed up all night in the spring "fish sitting". Thank them that there are any left in our area of the Bay.

I was fortunate enough to shoot some engagement photos this past weekend at The Ojibway Club and the lighthouse.

Spent one wk at Pleasant Cove Cottages in May to do some walleye and pike fishing; the resort was of little help in recommending fishing spots.
Had a great week after we found some spots ourself.
Will be returning the end of Sept for some muskie fishing.
Do you have anyone who might recommend locations at this time of year? We will be staying at Pine Piont resort.
Thank you in advance and have a great fall.
